How Muse&Miles collects, uses and protects your personal information.

Last updated: 25 September 2026

Who we are

Muse&Miles (“we”, “us”, “our”) provides bespoke travel planning and itinerary design services at museandmiles.travel. This policy explains what personal data we collect when you use the site, why we collect it, and what rights you have over it.

What we collect

We collect information you give us directly through the site:

  • Trip enquiries: name, email address, phone number (optional), destinations, travel dates, trip length, number of travellers, occasion, budget range, travel style preferences, any must-haves or things to avoid, your chosen package and add-ons.
  • Contact messages: name, email address and the content of your message.
  • AI trip concierge chat: if you use the chat-based trip planner, the messages you send are processed to generate a trip brief. We do not store the raw chat transcript beyond what you choose to carry into your enquiry.

We do not use cookies for advertising or analytics tracking. The only cookies set on the public site come from our sign-in system, and only apply to Muse&Miles staff accessing the admin area — not to visitors browsing or enquiring.

Why we collect it

We use your information to respond to your enquiry or message, assess and confirm your planning package, design and deliver your itinerary, and communicate with you about your trip planning. Where you’ve agreed to proceed with a package, this processing is necessary to perform that service. Where you’ve simply sent a message or enquiry, we process it based on our legitimate interest in responding to you.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of service providers to run the site and deliver the service. Each only receives the data needed for its function:

  • Neon (database hosting) — stores enquiry and message records
  • Resend (email delivery) — sends us a notification when you submit an enquiry or message
  • Clerk (authentication) — manages secure sign-in for Muse&Miles staff only
  • Cloudinary (image hosting) — stores itinerary and site imagery, not personal client data
  • Vercel (site hosting) — hosts the website and processes requests to it
  • Groq (AI processing) — processes messages you send to the AI trip concierge, if used

We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes. Some of these providers may process data on servers outside the UK/EEA; where they do, they provide appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry and message records for as long as reasonably needed to deliver your planning service and maintain a record of past client work, or until you ask us to delete it, whichever is sooner.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:

  • ask what personal data we hold about you and receive a copy of it
  • ask us to correct inaccurate data
  • ask us to delete your data
  • object to or restrict how we use your data
  • ask for your data in a portable format

To exercise any of these rights, email hello@museandmiles.travel. If you’re not satisfied with how we’ve handled your data, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time as the service evolves. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.
